Eric Sheridan Prydz is a record producer, DJ, and musician. In 2017, he won the coveted “DJ of the Year” at the popular Electronic Music Awards and was also nominated for “Live Act of the Year.” He reigns as the king of Electronic Dance Music (known as EDM) from the release of certain extremely successful tracks on his three separate record labels under different pseudonyms such as Pryda and Cirez D. They have triumphed on the charts and brought him great acclaim and a horde of faithful fans.
Born in Täby, Sweden, on July 19, 1976, Eric’s main instruments are listed as turntables, guitar, and keyboard. Eric has the ability to mix commercial success and the underground scene music with hard and upfront techno tracks from his bustling studio. They have become huge club tunes all around the globe that layer melodies, harmonies, and hooks over his unmistakable bass lines and a number of collaborations. For example, he became the only artist that was ever given the right to remix Pink Floyd.
Eric teamed up with the giant Data Records, and his debut “Call On Me” released in 2004 flew to number one on the charts, stayed there for an amazing five weeks, culminated in a number one hit in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe, and sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. He released his debut studio album, “Opus,” in 2016.
Last summer’s “Pjanoo” was his third Data Records smash hit. Its piano-led hook is uplifting, and it became the ideal summer anthem as a soundtrack for partygoers fun in the sun and the biggest festivals in the world. It shot to number two on the charts.
On September 27, 2014, Eric performed his EPIC 3.0 concert, where he played a large number of new and unreleased music and visuals. Billed as the “world’s largest indoor hologram,” it incorporated 32 lasers and a 20m, 4K hologram.
As the popularity of EDM continued to increase throughout the globe, mostly in Australia and the United States, so did the popularity of Eric Prydz. Highly respected by producers and DJs, and forever loved by his adoring mainstream and underground fans, Eric has become one of the most in-demand underground producers and spinners in the world.
